About Us
We are a family-owned renewable energy company based in Horsham, West Sussex. We have been operating since 2005, making us one of the most experienced MCS-accredited companies in our industry. We install and maintain solar PV, heat pumps and solar thermal systems in Sussex, Surrey, Kent and Hampshire. We carry out all our own installations and we never subcontract our work to third-party installers.
At Sussex Solar we have a reputation for skilful work, using quality components on all our installations. Our customer testimonials are proof of our high standards of service and are a good indicator of the high quality of our work.

Sussex Solar’s founder and owner
This is Andy Baxter who founded Sussex Solar in 2005, drawing on his background in mechanical engineering. It is his engineering experience that enables Sussex Solar to tackle more technically-challenging installations. Andy is Managing Director to this day and runs the company alongside his wife Amanda and son Dominic who, it turns out, is also a technical whizz-kid. This is how Andy used to look before the stress of running a company for 20 years turned his hair grey!
